The Dance of Lenin: Conjuncture, Transition, and the Construction of the Political Regime

Dr. Jaime Ortega Reyna

Abstract

This text approaches, from a dialogue with Louis Althusser’s methodology, Lenin’s perspective on the construction of political order. It analyzes the persistence of the Russian revolutionary’s approach in the framework of the design of a state architecture that centered its efforts in transforming the economic dynamics into a political input. The notion of hegemony emerged in the heat of the debates and struggles of those who faced the complex task of reactivating the statehood of revolutionary power, without forgetting or leaving in the background the long-term objectives.
